The cuts

A senior barber (Callum or Ade) adds 15 per cent to a cut or shave, Dev 30. Kids, over-65s and extras cost the same with everyone. Card or cash; no tipping jar, no upselling.

How the day works

Walk in before two. Book after.

Monday to Saturday mornings are first come, first served. Put your name on the board by the door and we'll shout when a chair's free. Most mornings the wait is under half an hour.

From 2 pm, and all day on Thursdays, it's appointments only, so nobody on a lunch break gets stuck behind a queue. Sundays are walk-in only, 10 till 3.

Running late? Ring 0161 496 0418. Cancel three hours ahead and it costs nothing; a no-show adds £10 to your next visit.

For a beard that's started to itch. Three drops, rubbed in while it's still damp.

Lets the razor glide. Under a hot towel it does most of the work for you.
