Dock Bar that Magnifies
A floating bottom dock for a site: icon tiles swell under the pointer with a smooth falloff to their neighbours, a label rises above the hovered tile, clicked tiles do a launch bounce, and a small dot marks the page section you are in.
The mechanic
Size per tile = 48 + 32 × cos(min(d,150)/150 × π/2) where d is the pointer's horizontal distance to the tile's resting centre (resting centres are measured once, so the growing row does not feed back into itself). Width and height are written directly each frame; on leave they ease back over 300 ms. Launch bounce: keyframes translateY 0 → −18 → 0 → −8 → 0 over 700 ms.
