A modal that opens from the button you pressed: the backdrop fades in, the panel scales up from 0.92 with a short overshoot and its transform origin set to the trigger's position, so it feels pulled out of the click. Escape, the backdrop and the close button dismiss it, and it is a native `<dialog>` so focus is trapped for free.
On open: `--ox/--oy` = trigger centre relative to the viewport; the panel's `transform-origin: var(--ox) var(--oy)` with `scale(0.92) → 1` and opacity over 0.3 s `cubic-bezier(.34,1.3,.64,1)`; `::backdrop` fades 0.25 s. Close adds `.out` (scale 0.96, fade 0.2 s) then calls `close()` on `transitionend`. Body scroll is locked while open.

A paste-in snippet, or a component for Next.js, React, Vue, Astro, WordPress, Shopify or Webflow.
It quotes the markup, styles and script verbatim with the tokens and the rules that keep it self-contained.
It inherits your page's font and width; the tokens live on :root; several instances share one script.
